    Ready to take center stage? Whether you’re auditioning for your school musical, community theatre, or college program, this class will give you the tools and confidence to stand out. In RSPA’s annual audition prep course, students will refine their audition songs, monologues, and movement skills while learning what makes a truly unforgettable performance.

    Throughout the session, participants will receive personalized coaching on material selection, acting through song, and presentation - plus professional tips to help you walk into any audition with confidence. The class also includes a resume workshop to help you create or polish your theatrical résumé and an opportunity for updated headshots.

    Taught by Joe Santaniello of Santaniello Vocal Studios, whose students have gone on to attend top musical theatre and classical voice programs nationwide, this course is a must for any aspiring performer ready to level up their craft. The session culminates in a showcase performance, where students can strut their stuff and show off their progress! Recommended for: Students currently studying voice or audition repertoire who are ready for individualized coaching and real-world audition experience.

    Step into one of musical theatre’s most iconic and challenging works. Cabaret (1998 Version) is designed for dedicated high school and college performers ready to push themselves artistically. Students will explore complex characters, mature themes, and advanced acting techniques while developing stronger vocal performance and stagecraft.     Attendance Policy: Participants are permitted up to two absences during the regular rehearsal period. This policy does not apply to mandatory Saturday rehearsals, technical rehearsals, or performances, all of which are required. Please review all dates carefully before registering.

  • Best of Broadway

    Create. Imagine. Write. Perform. Go beyond performing Broadway—create it. Best of Broadway is a one-of-a-kind, year-long musical theatre experience where students collaborate to create an original Broadway-inspired revue while developing the skills used by professional theatre artists. Every year's production is completely original, giving students the opportunity to experience the creative process behind developing a new theatrical work—from the first idea to opening night.

    Students must enroll in both Part I and Part II.

    Maximum Enrollment: 14 students

    Tuition: $550 per semester • $184 per month • $1,000 if paid all at once (save $100)

    Part I: Acting & Devising

    Students build strong acting and ensemble skills through improvisation, character development, scene work, and collaborative storytelling. By exploring what makes Broadway's most iconic musicals successful, they'll create original characters, ideas, and theatrical moments that become the foundation of the final production.

    Company Acting Credit: Completion of Part I fulfills the Rising Stars Performing Arts Company Acting requirement.

    Part II: Writing & Production Development

    During the spring semester, students transform their ideas into an original Broadway-inspired production. Working as a creative team, they shape the story, write scenes, develop dialogue, rehearse, revise, and prepare for a fully staged performance. Throughout the semester, students continue collaborating outside of class through writing assignments, brainstorming sessions, editing, and scheduled Tuesday evening Zoom meetings that keep the creative process moving between rehearsals.
