    2026 Summer Stock Season

    Rising Stars Performing Arts is thrilled to announce joint auditions for our Summer Stock Season, featuring two exciting productions:

    Lovers by Brian Friel (Grades 9–College) & You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Grades 8–College)

    Actors only need to audition once to be considered for either or both productions.

    These auditions are designed to be welcoming, supportive, and efficient while giving our creative team a chance to see each performer’s unique strengths in acting, singing, and storytelling.

    Auditioners should prepare:
    • A 32–bar cut of a musical theatre song in the style of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown
    • A 60–second monologue in the style of Lovers
    • Sheet music in a binder with cuts clearly marked (an accompanist will be provided)
    • A headshot and resume if available

    Callbacks will be held for specific productions as needed.

    Whether you are hoping to dive into heartfelt dramatic storytelling, joyful musical comedy, or both, these auditions are your opportunity to take center stage in one of our most dynamic summer offerings.

    In The Best Little Theatre in Town, students become part of a lively “play within a play” as a small town theatre faces closure due to some very suspicious bookkeeping. With the help of a devoted owner, an over the top director, a quirky cast, and two playful Narrators guiding the story, our young performers explore the magic of musical theatre from the inside out.

    Throughout the week, campers will sing, dance, act, and learn the building blocks of theatre in a joyful, age appropriate environment. This camp focuses on confidence building, teamwork, creative storytelling, and having a lot of fun, perfect for first-time performers and returning theatre kids alike.

    The week culminates in a fully staged performance for family and friends, where our stars take the stage and bring this charming story to life!

    Broadway Bound Junior is a joyful, confidence-building introduction to the world of musical theatre! Designed especially for younger performers, this fun-filled camp invites students to sing, dance, act, and create in a supportive, high-energy environment.

    Throughout the week, campers will rehearse exciting Broadway medleys from beloved shows, while also:
    • Learning musical theatre songs and choreography
    • Exploring acting through games, improv, and character work
    • Building ensemble skills and stage confidence
    • Discovering what it means to perform as part of a team

    Students will come together for a lively end-of-week showcase performance for family and friends. Whether it’s a student’s very first theatre experience or their next step after a school production, Broadway Bound Junior encourages creativity, collaboration, and a love of performing.

    This program emphasizes fun, fundamentals, and fearless expression, helping young performers feel proud, supported, and stage-ready by curtain call.

    There’s a picnic planned, and all the bugs are buzzing with excitement! In BUGZ!, young performers step into a whimsical world where every critter has an important job to do. The Lady Bugs are in charge of proper etiquette, the Army Ants handle security, the Fireflies light the way, and the Bumble Bees provide the entertainment. Sounds perfect… until the Stink Bug wants an invitation too!

    Through storytelling, music, movement, imaginative play, and hands-on arts and crafts, students will bring this charming tale to life while learning the fundamentals of musical theatre. Now offered as a full-day camp, BUGZ! is designed especially for our youngest performers and provides a joyful balance of creative theatre training and visual art exploration.

    Campers will spend their days engaged in:

    • Creative movement and basic choreography
    • Group singing and character voices
    • Acting through play, imagination, and teamwork
    • Confidence-building and stage comfort
    Bug-themed arts and crafts projects that extend the story world
    • Creative play and collaborative activities throughout the day

    Throughout the week, students will rehearse together and work toward a fun, fully staged performance to share with family and friends.     Broadway Bound is an immersive, high-energy musical theatre intensive designed for performers who are ready to level up. Over the course of one dynamic week, students will train, rehearse, and perform material inspired by some of Broadway’s most iconic shows through large-scale song-and-dance medleys and ensemble features.

    Each day blends professional-style training with creative exploration, focusing on:
    • Vocal technique and ensemble singing
    • Musical theatre dance and movement
    • Acting, storytelling, and character development
    • Rehearsal process, stage presence, and performance confidence

    Students will work on expansive medleys, featured moments, and full ensemble numbers, culminating in a polished, fully staged showcase performance for family and friends at the end of the week. Whether preparing for auditions, sharpening skills, or diving deeper into the collaborative rehearsal process, Broadway Bound offers a challenging, supportive, and inspiring environment.

    This program is ideal for students with prior theatre experience who are eager to grow artistically, collaborate as part of a professional-style ensemble, and perform at the next level.

    On the Shoulders of Giants invites young performers to step into the stories of real-life heroes who changed the world. Through music, movement, and storytelling, students will explore inventors, leaders, artists, and everyday changemakers who paved the way for the lives we live today.

    At a lively “Great Invention Convention,” campers will meet famous figures like Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Graham Bell, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, and George Washington Carver. They will also learn about courageous champions for justice and peace such as Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela, along with many others who stood up for what was right.

    This uplifting musical celebrates curiosity, bravery, teamwork, and big dreams, showing how even one young person can make a difference. Throughout the week, students will rehearse songs, scenes, and choreography while building performance skills, confidence, and stage presence in a supportive and joyful environment.

    With multiple roles, group numbers, and featured moments for every child, On the Shoulders of Giants is perfect for performers of all experience levels. Campers will work toward a fully staged final show for family and friends, where they can stand tall, shine bright, and take their place among the giants.

    The Art of Singing

    The Art of Singing is a performance focused summer course for advanced singers eager to refine their craft and take the stage. Designed for students in Grades 9 through College, this unique experience centers on learning and performing musical theatre and classical repertoire in small groups, duets, and solos, culminating in a semi staged concert showcase.

    Throughout the summer, students will receive individualized and group coaching while rehearsing flexibly on their own schedules, allowing performers to deepen musicality, strengthen vocal technique, and develop confident storytelling through song.

    This course is coached by Artistic Director and Santaniello Vocal Studios owner Joe Santaniello and is recommended for students who already study with a private voice teacher and are ready for a high level musical challenge.
